A bit dusty?
Please wet down the arena for 5-10 minutes before use to prevent it getting dusty while you ride, and to care for our arena surface. Below is a short video on how to turn the sprinklers on. The taps are by the arena entrance.
Not sure where to go?
Below is a quick map of the property. Drive straight up the driveway towards the stables and you can park your float on either side of the arena. Please try to leave enough room for cars to get past.
If you have friends or an instructor also coming, they can park in the yellow parking areas by the stables and arena.
To leave the property, follow the driveway all the way around where it connects back to the main driveway – this way theres no float reversing needed!
Please do not park in front of the stable door, or in front of the cottage.

Which booking type do I choose?
One Horse bookings ($30 per hour)
The one, two and three hour bookings under the One Horse heading are for bookings where only one horse will be using the arena at a time. If you are riding one horse for an hour, and then riding a different horse for a second hour, still select this option.
Two Horse bookings ($60 per hour)
The one, two and three hour bookings under the Two Horse heading are for bookings where two horses are being worked on the arena at the same time. These bookings are charged extra because of the extra wear and tear on the arena surface.
Due to the size of the arena, and in order to take care of our arena surface, no more than two horses may be worked on the arena at the same time.
Full Day bookings
Full day bookings are for clinics and workshops. Please contact us first to organise the best date and logistics of holding a clinic!
Ride at Oakwood Park often? Consider a Season Pass!
If you plan to ride at least once a week for three months, our Season Pass may save you money as well as giving the convenience of not needing to visit an ATM before each ride.
These passes are $200 and last 3 calendar months, and are the equivalent in cost of 6-7 one-hour one-horse rides. Perfect for those wanting to visit frequently, and save even more if you have two horses in regular work!
FAQ
What facilities can you use at Oakwood Park Equestrian with an arena booking?
Indoor Arena Bookings also give users access to the white day yards, tie up rails, cross ties, hot water wash bay, sound system, sprinklers (only to be used in Spring/Summer) and training accessories found in the arena.
If you use accessories in the arena such as poles, cones, jump wings, mounting blocks, whips or lunge reins, please put these back where you found them after you are finished.
There is a wheelbarrow and poop scoopers in the arena and/or stables to clean up any manure, please leave the arena as you would like it to be found.
Do you offer rides or lessons on Oakwood Park’s horses? Is there an instructor on site?
We do not offer rides or lessons on our own horses at this time, our online booking system is designed for people wanting to bring their own horses to ride.
We do not have a single instructor who teaches here, however many instructors around the Adelaide Hills have been here before giving lessons or clinics and we welcome any qualified instructor to come and teach lessons at our arena.
